MVF Blue Dancer was was born April 13, 2002 and is a chocolate with
flaxen mane and tail colt. He is registered as a Rocky Mountain
stallion. His sire is International Champion Jackson Blue. MVF Blue
Dancer has been genetically tested and found to not carry the red
factor gene (he can never produce a chestnut even if bred to one).
His dam is a dark bay mare that was certified as normal eyed, so he
could not have ASD (I would expect to find cysts since he is
chocolate). With lots of front end, a beautiful head, great
conformation and very natural gait, I would expect this colt to go
far. I currently expect him to mature at about 15 hands. He is a
true Rocky Mountain Horse and has the breeding to prove it. He
traces back to Tobe, the breed's foundation stallion, 13 times.
Thus, deriving 39.8% of his genetics from Tobe. If you are looking
for the true old bloodlines and disposition of a Rocky Mountain
horse then this is it. This colt carries both China Blue and Neace's
Blue Lady... these were Sam Tuttle's FAVORITE mares and the last to
be sold before he was put in the nursing home. His pedigree is a
who's who of Rocky Mountain Horses with such names as Tobe, Clemons'
Tim, Sewell's Sam, Yankee, Choco Dock, Kilburn's Chocolate Sundown,
and Nick. I own both his dam and granddam... they are both
exceptionally smooth. I have too many mares related to him, so MVF
Blue Dancer is offered for sale. His
price will go up once he is put under saddle and certified early
next year. He has been DNA'ed and all his paperwork is in order. He
was recently vetted (10/24/2003) and is up to date on all his shots.
UPDATE: Blue Dancer HAS been SOLD. His new owner is Bob
Tompkins of Paris, KY. His name has been changed to WRF Risky
Business.
