Cleo was bought in Feb 1998 from David McGuire. She was born May 2, 1993 and is a dark bay mare. She is a
3/4 sister to David's stallion Blue Man McGuire (his dam is also China Blue,
but his sire is Toco Sam, a son of Sewell's Sam). Blue Man McGuire produced the 1997 International champion
Kentucky Blue. Cleo's eyes were checked by Dr Ramsey and found to be
NORMAL. Cleo has also been genetically tested and found to not carry the
red factor gene (she can never produce a chestnut even if bred to one). Cleo's daughter, Mountain View's
Contessa (note: name changed to Storm Warning's Contessa), was the 2001 Yearling Filly high point champion in
the nation. She has produced some wonderful foals and is a great trail horse (that is why I did not breed her more). She has a wonderful smooth gait. SOLD.
Cleo now lives in WV where she is teaching Paulette Sample's
granddaughter to ride.
She has had 5 foals:
